The data controller for this website is A Daily Quest, operating the web application at adaily.quest. This privacy policy describes how we process personal data when you use our daily brain games platform.

A Daily Quest is built around minimal data collection. Most information stays on your device in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Game progress and results for each Daily Five
• Your streak, longest streak, and weekly freeze usage
• Your consent preferences for cookies and advertising

No account is required to play. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identifier unless you voluntarily contact us.

We use three categories of cookies and local storage:

• Necessary — Store game progress, streak, and language preference. Always active — the site cannot function without them.
• Analytics (optional) — Help us understand how the platform is used in aggregate. Only loaded after you accept in the consent banner.
• Advertising (optional) — Used by Google AdSense to show personalized ads that support free gaming. Only loaded after you accept in the consent banner.

You can change your preferences at any time through the consent banner, which reappears when you reset your choices.

Some pages of this website use so-called "counting pixels" from VG Wort. These allow VG Wort to record access to our texts and distribute royalties to authors as part of their statutory duties. The website is hosted on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. Server logs (IP address, request timestamp, user agent) are retained for security purposes and deleted automatically after a short period.

Where backend storage is used, we rely on Supabase with a database hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU region). For the current version of A Daily Quest, no personal data is stored in the database — all gameplay data remains on your device.

Domain name resolution is handled by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata as part of its DNS and CDN services.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
• Right to object — withdraw consent for analytics or advertising at any time
